Paper & pairing
Reds and pinks show the most dramatic shading of any color family: expect real variation between the edges and center of each letter. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.

Toucan is an Australian ink brand produced in Brisbane by Dye Manufacturers of Australia, a dye company trading since 1918 that also owns the Tintex name. The range covers fountain pen inks in 14 colours as well as water-based technical drawing inks. The inks are distributed in Australia through Justwrite and were sold exclusively in the United States by Anderson Pens.
Storing and using the bottle
