As a near-neutral tone, it reads as professional and safe for anything from journaling to signatures. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.
About Kaimei
Kaimei is a Japanese ink maker founded in 1898 by Seiji Taguchi, a schoolteacher trained in applied chemistry who invented ready-to-use liquid sumi ink so students no longer had to grind ink sticks. Based in Tokyo, the company remains a leading producer of bokuju calligraphy ink and also makes manga ink, fountain pen inks and brush pens.
