Paper & pairing
Blues and navies are the most broadly "safe" fountain pen colors: legible, professional, and unlikely to raise eyebrows in an office. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.
About Herlitz
Herlitz is a German stationery and office-supply company founded in Berlin in September 1904 by Carl Herlitz, which grew into one of Europe's major school and office suppliers, known especially for exercise books and school pens. After insolvency proceedings in 2002 and restructuring, the brand was acquired by Pelikan in 2009 and continues as a school-stationery line under the Pelikan group.
