Paper & pairing
Reds and pinks show the most dramatic shading of any color family: expect real variation between the edges and center of each letter. This ink will behave predictably on most fountain-pen-friendly paper. Cheap, highly absorbent paper (standard copier paper) will dull any ink's saturation and can cause feathering or bleed-through with wetter nibs.
About Besen
Besen, also styled Besen Masterpiece, is the in-house brand of Bestpen, a pen and ink shop in Seoul, South Korea, which also trades online at bestpen.kr. Alongside its own bottled fountain pen inks it produces the jam-themed Jam Ink series, originally sold in 30 ml jam jars and later in square glass bottles.
